SVP for Campaigns
Abe Rakov is the Senior Vice President for Campaigns, where he is responsible for political advertising and strategy for The Company. Abe managed Jason Kander’s 2016 U.S. Senate campaign in Missouri, where they over-performed the presidential ticket by 16 points. Rakov has worked on and consulted for local, state and federal campaigns for the past nine years. He is the last Democratic campaign manager to win an open statewide seat in Missouri.
In Kander’s Senate race, Rakov oversaw a campaign that wasn’t on anyone’s radar at the beginning of the cycle and helped turn it into one of the highest-profile campaigns in the country. They won more Trump voters – 220,000 – than any other Democrat in a competitive race in 2016. Before the Senate race, Rakov managed Kander’s Secretary of State campaign, which over-performed President Obama by 10 points en route to an upset win that made Kander the first- ever millennial elected to statewide office.
In addition to his campaign work, Rakov served as the Deputy Secretary of State of Missouri and as Communications Director for Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC). He serves as the Executive Director of Let America Vote, a national voting rights project.
Rakov graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in journalism.
